Overview
A typographic design project focused on creating a handcrafted typeface using chicken claws as the foundation for the letterforms. The resulting typeface, Poultry Press, explores an experimental and distinctive approach to typography.

Context
A typographic design project focused on visualising the poem Elkaars Ginko by Dorien Devylder using only typographic elements. The challenge was to explore the expressive qualities of letterforms while balancing visual experimentation, composition, and readability.
Concept
The concept focuses on the word “klauwen” from the poem, as it captured the raw and expressive feeling I wanted to translate visually. Using chicken claws as the foundation for the letterforms, I created a handcrafted typographic style that reflects the organic and distinctive character of the word. This experimental typography evolved into the Poultry Presstypeface.
